DO NOT SHY TO LEARN THE RELIGION

“Aisha (RadhiAllahu Anha), the wife of the Prophet Sallallaahu Alahiwasallam testified, "The best women are the women of the Ansar (Citizens of Madina). Shyness did not stand in their way of seeking knowledge about their religion."

Sahih Al Bukhari, Sahih Muslim

Our Mothers in Islam, the female Sahaba never shy to learn the religion. They had a great intention, that is, to learn the religion and to follow it correctly. They were living with high morality and great modesty. But when the matter of religion, they always concerned about learning and to follow it. Because they were afraid that they might follow the religion incorrectly.

I present here two stories of our great female Sahaba which clearly show that how they were eager to learn the religion.

(1) Umm Sulaim (RadhiAllahu Anha) who was the grandmother of Ishaq came to the Messenger of Allah Sallallaahu Alahiwasallam in the presence of 'A'isha (RadhiAllahu Anha) and said to him: Messenger of Allah, in case of woman sees what a man sees in dream and she experiences in dream what a man experiences (i. e. experiences orgasm)? Upon this 'A'isha (RadhiAllahu Anha) remarked: O Umm Sulaim, you brought humiliation to women; may your right hand be covered with dust. He (the Holy Prophet Sallallaahu Alahiwasallam) said to 'A'isha (RadhiAllahu Anha): Let your hand be covered with dust, and (addressing Umm Sulaim) said: Well, O Umm Sulaim, she should take a bath if she sees that (i. e. she experiences orgasm in dream).

Sahih Al Bukhari, Sahih Muslim

The same question has been asked by Khawla bint Hakim, Sahla bint Suhail and Bushra bint Safwan RadhiAllahu Anhum from Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam.

(2) A woman from the tribe of Khath'am asked, "O Allah's Messenger Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam! The obligation of Hajj enjoined by Allah on His devotees has become due on my father and he is old and weak, and he cannot sit firm on the Mount; may I perform Hajj on his behalf?" The Prophet Sallallahu Alaihiwasallam replied, "Yes, you may."

Sahih Al Bukhari

He will not learn knowledge whoever is shy or proud
